About Publishing with MM Research & Publishing
MM Research & Publishing is committed to disseminating rigorous, ethical, and impactful scholarly research in the fields of accounting, finance, governance, sustainability, economics, and related interdisciplinary social sciences. The publisher welcomes original contributions that demonstrate theoretical relevance, methodological soundness, and practical or policy significance, with particular attention to research addressing emerging and developing economies.
Scope and Types of Contributions:
The publisher considers a broad range of scholarly contributions, including original research articles, systematic literature reviews, conceptual and methodological papers, and policy-oriented studies. Submissions should clearly articulate their contribution to existing literature and demonstrate relevance to the journal’s stated aims and scope.
Manuscript Preparation and Formatting:
Authors are expected to prepare manuscripts in accordance with internationally recognized academic standards. Submissions should be written in clear academic English and structured using conventional scholarly components, including an abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, and references. Unless otherwise specified, manuscripts should follow the APA (7th edition) referencing style. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of citations, tables, figures, and supplementary materials prior to submission.
Submission and Editorial Screening:
All manuscripts are submitted through the journal’s designated submission system. Upon receipt, submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess alignment with the journal’s scope, originality, basic methodological adequacy, and compliance with ethical and formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors without external review.
Peer Review and Editorial Decision-Making:
MM Research & Publishing employs a double-blind peer review process, whereby both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise. Reviewers assess submissions based on originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and ethical compliance. Editorial decisions are made by the handling editor based on reviewer reports and independent scholarly judgment.
Research Ethics and Integrity:
The publisher adheres to the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to uphold the highest standards of research integrity, including accurate data reporting, appropriate attribution of authorship, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and compliance with ethical research practices. Cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or duplicate submission are treated seriously and addressed in accordance with established ethical procedures.
Plagiarism, Data Transparency, and Reproducibility:
Submitted manuscripts may be screened using similarity detection tools to identify potential plagiarism or inappropriate overlap. Authors are encouraged to ensure transparency in data sources, research design, and analytical methods, and to provide data availability statements where appropriate, in order to support reproducibility and scholarly accountability.
Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing:
All articles published by MM Research & Publishing are made available through an open-access model to maximize dissemination and impact. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the publisher a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article. Published content is typically licensed under a Creative Commons framework, permitting reuse with proper attribution.
Publication Fees and Transparency:
MM Research & Publishing is committed to transparency regarding publication costs. Any applicable article processing charges (APCs) are clearly disclosed prior to submission. No undisclosed fees are charged at any stage of the editorial or publication process.
Use of Artificial Intelligence in Manuscript Preparation:
Authors may use artificial intelligence tools for language editing or analytical support, provided such use is transparently disclosed. AI tools may not be listed as authors, and responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of submitted content remains solely with the human authors.
Post-Publication Policies:
The publisher maintains clear policies for handling corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. Post-publication issues are addressed in accordance with COPE recommendations.
